ELDA SCHWARTZ

Art, use of color, design, relationships of objects, patterns, reflections, nature, social trends influence my visual repertoire. I grew up in South Africa, studied and worked in England, have lived in the United States for over 35 years, and have enjoyed extensive travel. While many photos reflect my travels, many images are taken in my own back yard.

 

My interest in photography has grown exponentially over the last few years.  Away from the camera I was a career development specialist at the post-masters degree level. I noticed from listening to people’s stories that a person’s creative skills can develop without them being recognized. I realized that I am one of those individuals.

My company is called Out & About Photos and Greeting Cards as I take photos when I am out and about. Most of my work is done on a moment’s inspiration, without time for a tripod.

My greeting cards show off my photographs. Clients are passionate about the art of writing in their own hand, rather than sending an email or a bought greeting/birthday card. My cards, with images of beautiful objects and places, are small works of art in themselves for each and every recipient. Receivers of an Out & About card often frame or display it on their desks, in their offices, or in their homes.

Each card is plain inside and wrapped in a protective cellophane cover. Boxed cards either with theme or the same card are also available. These boxed sets make lovely gifts.
